Golf Day 2025
Our annual charity golf day was a success!
Businesses from far and wide joined us at the beautiful Close House Golf Course for our annual Golf Day.
Championed by our headline sponsor , with our additional hole sponsors , and we were set for a fantastic day of golfing.
Our Chief Executive John Preston welcomed the golfers before 51³Ô¹Ïs 51³Ô¹Ï student James took to the floor to share his journey with the Percy 51³Ô¹Ï Foundation. He did an incredible job and was met with lots of applause as he shared his many achievements.
Golfers made their way across the scenic 18-hole Lee Westwood Filly course, taking part in a variety of competitions along the way. Among the competitions was the hole-in-one challenge, offering a £30,000 cash prize. While no one clinched the win, there were some impressively close attempts!
7 people managed to ‘beat the pro’, and 9 people were successful in the mini putter challenge, where a draw selected two winners for signed merchandise from golfer Lee Westwood himself.
Mulligans were available as a helping hand to our golfers, especially needed when challenges such as the bunker forfeit came into play!
Some of our 51³Ô¹Ïs 51³Ô¹Ï students gathered at the halfway house to share their experiences with attendees, providing encouragement as the competition ensued.
As we gathered back at the club house for some well-earned food, our compere Steven Innes shared the results:
