Inside our Jam-Packed Residential Trip to London
Some of our learners from Northern Counties enjoyed an incredible residential trip to the capital
Travelling down via minibus, excitement was high as our learners headed down to London, visiting the Belton Estate for an explore along the way.
The first evening was all about unwinding, with games, a delicious BBQ, and some time to relax in the hot tub in preparation for the adventure ahead.
The experience began with visits to some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including the Sky Garden at the Shard, Big Ben, Downing Street, and the House of Commons. Travelling across the city via the London Underground added to the adventure. A highlight of the trip was a special visit to Parliament, where they had the opportunity to meet our local MP, Catherine McKinnell, and learn more about her role and responsibilities.
Afterwards, they headed to the Vaudeville Theatre to enjoy Six the MusicalÌý– a vibrant and unforgettable performance that was the perfect way to round off an incredible first day.
The following morning brought a new highlight: the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour. Stepping into the heart of the wizarding world, they were immersed in the magic behind the scenes of the beloved film series. Learners got to experience breathtaking sets, authentic props and original costumes, posing for some brilliant photo opportunities along the way.
This residential trip was an unforgettable experience for our learners, filled with discovery, meaningful learning in a vibrant environment, and, above all – plenty of fun!
